New to this site but wanted some latest information on keller bay near olivia I originally wanted to use the olivia boat ramp and loop around but this one looks like it may a public ramp i can use instead Fished there a couple of times the last week or so and have had very little success
Some i have asked this past week have same result Port alto boat ramp n 28â°39.508' w 96â°24.892' looking to fish carancahua bay tomorrow Water is in great shape considering surrounded bay in lavaca.
The best areas i've found are salt and redfish lake on the west side although you will need a kayak or boat to get there
Just down the road is keller bay (olivia) which has much better fishing There is also multiple areas you can wade fishing from the bank I'll attach a video below if a wade we had in keller just off the kayak launch. Howdy, has anyone recently launched from this ramp
Any issues to look out for It looks like there is an old rock wall or submerged jetty that runs parallel to a bulkhead Carancahua/olivia both bays are good for fishing if you know the right spots As far as boat ramps go, there is a good one in front at olivia
Pretty sure there is still one a little ways up the creek at a bait camp (haven't used it in years)
As for carancuhua, it has very limited access unless you are willing to run a good ways. There is a public boat ramp on hwy 35 just before you get to cape carancahua They reworked it a couple of years ago and we see people put in there quite often There is also a public ramp at the end of 172 in olivia
Just a couple of options. I had been reading the post on greens lake near galveston I was wondering about green lake near seadrift and the victoria barge canal Can you take a boat up in that lake and if so where are the boat ramps
Where are boat ramps located for the victoria barge canal
Is green lake fresh water or. Tho these boats are different in many ways, i have been doing a lot of research They are also similiar in other ways, one thing that is a big difference is price I have found that the explorer is more expensive and does not carry a warrenty as good as bluewave
The bluewave seems to be a good bang for the buck So i am looking for opinions Do you think the explorer is worth the extra money. There is a boat ramp at the end of the highway that goes to olivia
The ramp is pretty close to where keller creek comes into the bay
Fished there a couple of times but nothing To be fair it was generally mid day when i was just piddling around Have talked to a few people that said they catch some nice trout and reds ther, but generally early morning It looks like good water, much nicer.
Has anyone used this ramp before
