The resolution field should only ever be added to a limited purpose screen used during a workflow transition, specifically transitions to green/done statuses where you want the user to be able to select from among the available resolution values You also do not need to add the field to the view screens. In your workflow (diagram mode) you should create three different transitions from in progress to done, named done, resolve & close for each transition you set up a post function which sets the resolution field to the appropriate status (use 'update issue field'). In the workflow for a company managed project you would want to look at the post functions for the transition and confirm that there is a step there that sets the resolution field during the transition.

Hey @marc bresson , you can click on the arrow (transition) pointing to done and won't do In the overview of your transition, after you click on it, you will see post functions Here you can select add post function Select update issue field and select resolution and it's wanted value

Select add and publish the workflow.

A second way is to set the same resolution field using an automation rule Finally, you can add a screen to your transition so the user moving the issue to a done category status can select the resolution on the fly I have a requirement to fill the resolution field if the status category is done for all projects in my organization because some of the issues have empty resolution values I can update the company managed projects using the workflow post function

But for team managed projects, i don't see the field resolution at all. Hi pavle, you need to update the workflow to add a post function on the transition to done to set the resolution field

Go to settings > issues > workflow 2

Find your workflow and click edit 3 Find the transition to done and click on it Click add post function 6
